Needed a bunch of these to send to customers, so I got four to try out. I wanted to like them, I really did. But at this point, I've had 3 out of 4 fail. Two of them stopped being recognized after a single use.
Avoid this. Seriously, just spend the extra $5 and get something like the Transcend reader, P/N "Reader-Multi-Compact":

In the long run it's cheaper than having to re-order these little things all the time.
