memory for my friend, 1/12/2009 Reviewer: Scott Glotzbach (, ) It worked out great. the 2 gigs I bought for her, made her machine alot faster than before. I went through the sales person first and they were not sure. So, they sent me to the technical support person and I had to leave a message. The technical support person got back to me later in the day and I got the memory ordered. Your system check works great. It comes back with all the information for your motherboard and you just tell the tech that and plus you can just look on your old memory and let the tech know that, too! I forgot the tech's name, but he is very knowledable! Thanks! I installed it and the system booted up normally and recognized the 1GB module. I left one of the 256 MB modules installed. WinXP now recognizes 1.25MB. Everything appears normal. Your engineering group said that this upgrade would not work as it was for a SonyVaio RX-455, specs. 512MB max. Sony support said that it would work and it did.
