Carol, You have to upgrade the Operating system before you will be able to get a web browser that will work for your email, etc.

It seems to work fine. I got it put in and it recognized the other memory card but I still can't figure out how to download a new browser for my son's Mac. It is an OS-9 and nothing seems to work anymore. I won't get rid of the computer because my son loved it and didn't get to use it that long vefore he was murdered. I just can't give it up but wish I knew what to do to make it useful for my email, etc.

The old G3 iMac series are workhorses, and given enough RAM, can be very useful even today, 7-10 years after they were made. Finding that RAM, however, can be a pain, as the machines are very picky bout RAM architecture. Finding it at a decent price can be a nightmare. I bought three sets of DIMMs from other merchants before I came to OEMPCWORLD. All were spec'd right for my machine, and none worked! With OEMPCWORLD, I placed my order, which was reviewed by a human being to make sure it was correct for the machine I specified. When the RAM got here, it was plug-in and go! I'll definitely be back.

I upgradeed from 512mb to 1 g and the memory i purchased 512MB PC2-4200 (533Mhz) 200 pin DDR2 SODIMM from OEMPCWORLD was a perfect match. Service was extremely fast. Great place to do bussiness !!
