These memory cards are manufactured by a top chipmaker and they perform as well as the memory cards installed by the OEM computer maker (except they are faster, of course). I am buying additional memory for another laptop. If I could rate the store I would also give it 5 stars!

At first, I was not happy when I opened the box and saw that the 512MB PC2100 200 pin SODIMM memory module I had bought was not Kingston as I had asked. It was with an ambivalent feeling that I put it in the slot. However, when I turned on my notebook I could see that everything I was feeling was not true. The device is working well and I think that up to this moment buying this item was a good option.

The entire process of upgrading an old laptop was made very much easier for me knowing that I could send the RAM I purchased back should I need to. But that proved not to be necessary. The modules went in to a Dell Inspiron 1100 (with the A32 BIOS) and were seen right away. I ran an extensive RAM test (now available on most Live Linux CDs) which took over an hour, and no errors were found.
Bottom line: This deal worked well for me, and if you do business with OEM PCworld as I did, I believe you will be satisfied with your results. And it's hard to beat their prices!

What can you say about memory? They said it would work in my laptop and it did. They said focus on the product but lots of folks sell memory.

What to say? OEMPCworld is the ultimate answer for all memory considerations. I'm just you're average consumer that had a slow, very slow Compaq 900 that only had 256mb of onboard RAM. Now I'm cooking with 1024 mb and all is sweet. I'm doubly impressed at the speed and efficiency of OEMPCworld's staff in sending out the memory and even more pleased with their competitive prices. I doubt that I'll ever consider any other source after being treated as a 'valuable' customer by these folks. Don't take my word for it, order some memory and then tell me you aren't pleased in the speed and handling of the parcel. Great source, great web site.

I needed a memory upgrade for an older sony vaio notebook. After spending hours trying to find out the exact memory I needed (Sony Vaio does not list their actual model on the back of their notebooks- grrr), I finally stumbled on OEMPCWorld's website. If you are worried that the memory you bought has the right zillions of numbers, then just use these oempcworld. I used their software to find a match for the memory I needed and I didn't have to worry about voltage, CAS, Pins, speed, MHZ or timing. Yes, I have made many wrong purchases before so I know if you get one of those wrong you better hope you can return your memory. I didn't have to worry about that here because they always give me the correct compatible memory at a very competitive price. I have used them 5 times going on 6.

I was routinely having problems with my laptop locking up when it got warm, usually around 20-25 minutes. I replaced the hard drive, took it apart cleaned it, ran software/driver updates, at least till it would lock up, then had to cool off to proceed. I ran mem.test free download, but wouldn't complete without locking up. Before I bought a new laptop, and just threw this one away, due to the aggravation/frustration, I decided to upgrade the memory module, which I found very reasonable at OEMPCWORLD, and was shipped at a reasonable rate, and I received it quicker than I thought. My daughter's 4-year-old laptop was spending most of its time paging. I bought two of these sticks to upgrade it. I paid for a quick delivery because my daughter wouldn't be home long. When the 2 sticks arrived, it turned out one was DOA. A phone call to OEMPCWorld lead to shipping a replacement stick and a return envelope for the dead stick with a temporary charge to be credited on the receipt of the dead stick. The replacement stick worked and the envelope was for USPS so I could drop it off easily. Thanks, gang! My daughter's happier with her system running much better.

I sent pack some ram for buyback. Few days later got email informing me of the buyback refund amount. The next time I checked my credit card transactions online, the refund had been credited. The whole process was quick and they kept me in the loop by email. The best customer service is that which doesn't require manual intervention (i.e. require you to pick up the phone to call and ask status). This definitely fit the bill.
