These DIMMs work great in an older desktop, 2/7/2013

I needed two 256MB DIMMs to compliment an existing pair that would bring a Dell Optiplex GX280 to 1GB - what I consider the minimum to run Windows 7 effectively. I specified Samsung memory, to match the DIMMs already in the machine, but allowed for substitution by OEMPCWorld. They sent me two DIMMs manufactured by Kingston (KVR400D22N3K2/512). I inserted these into the Dell, powered it up and held my breath. 1GB registered in the BIOS, followed by Windows 7 installing and running flawlessly. I commend OEMPCWorld for selecting a perfect match to the DIMMs already in place. Older PCs tend to be sensitive to replacement memory - especially Dell computers. Ordering such memory, waiting for it, only to find that it is incompatible with the host motherboard, then having to return it, is one of the supreme hassles of PC customization. The DIMMs selected by OEMPCWorld worked perfectly and were delivered in good time. Oh, and by the way, the price of the new memory was pretty great also.
