Some big changes are happening at SanDisk. If you missed the news, here is the scoop.
Do you like to plan ahead? We certainly do. Nothing pains us more than being unable to deliver solutions to you when you need them. We think this is a good time to look at what is available now and perhaps consider some other options, even test them against your use case so we’re well prepared.
Here are the current low-capacity SD Cards available from SanDisk. You can click on the links to visit our site, where you will find volume prices and product information.
Class 4
SDSDB-008G-B35 is EOL, move to 16GB or try GoRAM/SAMSUNG 8GB
SDSDB-016G-B35
SDSDB-032G-B35
Class 10 Ultra
SDSDUNS-016G-GN3IN
SDSDUNR-032G-GN3IN
Pricing is at a 3-year low, and availability is good, making this an ideal time to purchase, but as mentioned in my earlier message, we should also consider a backup plan in case pricing or availability become unstable for the SanDisk product you buy.
Here are three models from GoRAM many customers have moved to. These models offer Class 10 performance and a better price point than SanDisk.
GoRAM 8GB SM2703+SAMSUNG U1 V10 SD Card
This is an ideal replacement for:
- SDSDB-008G-B35
- applications where larger capacity cards are used but not needed
GoRAM 16GB SM2703+TOSHIBA U1 V10 SD Card
This is an ideal replacement for:
- SDSDB-016G-B35
- SDSDUNS-016G-GN3IN
GoRAM 32GB SM2703+INTEL U1 V10 SD Card
This is an ideal replacement for:
- SDSDB-032G-B35
- SDSDUNR-032G-GN3IN
If you’re interested in trying the GoRAM card, we’re happy to include free engineering samples in your next order for testing and validation. Just let us know and we’ll arrange it.
We hope this information was helpful. We’re here to answer any questions you have so please contact us if we can help you in any way. Until then, take care.
